FMP

Now that I have establish what I want to research on, I decided to wonder around the street of Shoreditch and Bricklane because it's one of the most popular graffti spots in London. I think seeing all the art in person and following movement will give me some ideas of how the true graffiti art conveys. It will also give me the support on how to understand the meaning of these propaganda so that I can have my own interpretation of the art.

I saw this graffiti when as soon as I left the train station. This one doesn't really necessarily meet my expectation of my interpretation of a graffiti is, for me this one is more like a doodle in a sketch book, something that someone would do if they are bored or it could possibly be a practice piece. In conclusion I don't like this kind of graffiti art because I see graffiti as a way of showing art for something more important like a political or social improvement. This is a common example why society look upon graffiti as bad or illegal however this is only my opinion this could easily mean something amazing to others.

Same as the graffiti at above I don't also really understand this one however it could be a part of something that was no longer there or a piece of a much larger graffiti art. With that said I really like this piece because of the technique tat was used. This was a paper sticker which is considered as a kind of stencil graffiti. There is a larger difference between this and the first picture because that was done be paint this particular piece acts like a sticker therefore is not much hassle taking this off the wall however it is also doesn't stay that long overtime

As you could see this is an example of a street where graffiti is done as a continuously piece. however this is not only images but words are used too. This particular piece looks like a opinion board where people can put what they feel. The stenciled images works really well suggesting the images that was conveyed at the same time it is not subjective to anyone having the whole thing in black without details. The use of words compensate for the lack of images. Using bright colours almost neon sometimes really works especially in this street because it doesn't have any street lights therefore at night the graffiti can still be seen. This is a really good graffiti in the case of sending message or capturing the public's eye and emotion.

The graffiti that you are seeing is a unique piece because it became famous after a piece of canvas that the artist did was given to President Obama. The technique is very unique and it suggest to me that the artist has found his/her style, in this particular situation the artist own style. In my opinion given the size ad how it is presented there is not one by passer that would not see it and if it was conveying a good message it could make an impact to the person reading the art.

This one I also like because the repetition technique was used. The piece is just a normal poster type of art however through repetition it does make an impact to me. It is almost like the artist is telling me that this something important, to put three pieces instead of one is not normal which makes it more serious and a matter not to just walk pas by.

Another graffiti art that has more emotional message onto it because it says "R.I.P Grandma" at the bottom which suggest that this art is done for dedication to the artist's relative. The graffiti is used for a different reason this time. When I saw it the I felt the emotion of the artist and I can see a picture of how he feels when he/she was doing this graffiti. The imagery also help because it has wings which suggests of heaven or past life.

Graffiti has a lot of connection of how you feel at that time while your creating the art and that was the best about it because if you have a lot of valuable opinion to share with the people why not share it and to show it visually would make it more visible and understanding for them.

Also located at Shoredictch was a Design Company called Kemistry which I really like. The company owner did a lecture in Ravensbourne a couple months ago and I really like what the company are doing and what they stand for. The owner seems to have a lot of experience and some of the art that they have in the shop are really great and interesting in the graphic design scene.

The poster that you can see was purchased from Kemistry. I liked it because I thought it represents the LGBT society a little bit because of the colour scheme I might be wrong of suggesting that the poster was made for that but that was I was thinking when I bought it.
